Commercial Journeyman Electrician
Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour, Depending on Experience
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand and power electrical tools.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems using advanced testing equipment.
- Inspect systems to identify hazards, defects, and necessary repairs, ensuring code compliance.
- Plan layouts and installations based on blueprints and job specifications.
- Terminate wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
- Direct and train apprentices and other team members.
- Install ground bars and terminate power feeds to equipment such as motors.
- Conduct physically demanding tasks such as trenching and lifting heavy objects.
- Use various tools, including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and power equipment.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Required Licenses: Valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Experience:
- At least 4 years in the electrical field, with proven expertise in installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of NEC codes, safety standards, and blueprint reading.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in using testing equipment (e.g., voltmeters, ohmmeters, meggers).
- Ability to diagnose complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as standing, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs for extended periods.

Work Schedule
