Outlets not working?
If outlets aren’t working, we recommend checking the GFI outlets (GFI outlets are easy to recognize as they have two buttons between the outlets) to make sure they aren’t tripped and simply need to be reset.
To reset the GFI outlet, simply unplug everything from the outlet, and press the reset button.
Partial power in house?
If you were experiencing partial power in your home, it is most likely due to one of the following:
- BGE lost phase to the house
- Main breaker tripped
- Main fuse blow
- Bad wiring to the house

Light and/or fan not working?
The first thing to check is that the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. If it has, you can simply reset the breaker. If that isn’t the case, and it’s a bad light or fan that needs to be replaced, it’s time to call an electrician. You can make an appointment with our service department by calling 410-879-1485.
